چکیده

Foodborne pathogens are the main threat and cause of food poisoning. The majority infections have been related to biofilm formation foodborne in industry. Shewanella putrefaciens (KX355803, GRD 03), a Gram-negative pathogen isolated from mackerel fish, was identified recognized as spoilage bacterium strong producer. adhesion or attachment ability determined on steel, plastic, glass, PVC wood. NB (Nutrient broth), LB (Luria-Bertani TSB (Tryptic soy broth) BHI (Brain heart infusion were enriched with glucose shows optimum for bacterial adhesion. In microtiter plate method (MTP), observed at 48 72 hours incubation significant differences obtained p < 0.05. As period increases, OD value (Optical density) samples also increase. Biofilm is major cross-contamination, resistance certain disinfectants, which leads environmental stress tolerance. This study suggested production isolate fish by using media different substrates, comparing growth provide detailed idea about biofilm-forming time intervals.

First isolation of Shewanella putrefaciens from freshwater fish – a potential new pathogen of fish

Bacterial isolates from common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) and rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were identified by the API 20E system (bioMérieux). Twenty one isolates were identified as Shewanella putrefaciens. These isolates were tested for selected biochemical and cultural characteristics. Pathogenicity of two isolates (Pt38 and K116) for freshwater fish was assayed. Biochemical characteris...

Isolation of Shewanella putrefaciens from Goldfish (Carassius auratus auratus)

In the present study, the etiological agent that caused mortality in goldfish at an aquarium company located in Bursa in northwestern Turkey was identified. Diseased fish were lethargic, displaying a loss of appetite, ascites, and exophthalmia. Internal examination revealed that the kidney was surrounded by exudate and that the spleen and liver were pale. Microbiological examination showed that...

Shewanella putrefaciens

The major soluble cytochrome isolated from microaerobically grown cells of Shewanella putrefaciens has been shown to be a novel type of flavocytochrome with fumarate reductase activity. This flavocytochrome, located in the periplasmic fraction of cell extracts, has been purified to homogeneity and shown to contain 4 mol of haem c and 1 mol of non-covalently bound FAD per mol of protein. An Mr v...

Shewanella putrefaciens – a new opportunistic pathogen of freshwater fish

In recent years, Shewanella putrefaciens, commonly known as a halophilic bacteria, has been associated with serious health disorders in freshwater fish. Therefore, it has been described as a new aetiological agent of the disease, named shewanellosis. S. putrefaciens is a heterogeneous group of microorganisms, belonging to the Alteromonadaceae family. Based on different criteria, three biovars a...

Biochemical and pathogenic properties of Shewanella alga and Shewanella putrefaciens.

We characterized 49 strains of Shewanella spp. from clinical (n = 31) and nonhuman (n = 18) sources. Most Shewanella alga organisms (Gilardi biovar 2; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] biotype 2) originated from clinical material (92%), failed to produce acid from carbohydrates other than D-ribose, and were biochemically and enzymatically fairly homogeneous. In contrast, Shewanel...
